Li Ning joins World Kabaddi League as apparel partner

World Kabaddi League (WKL) has announced its partnership with sports brand Li Ning,

as the official apparel partner for its opening edition. The Li Ning Company will provide a wide range of clothing for the games related personnel, including the team kits. World Kabaddi League is slated to kickstart on August 9. With 94 matches and matches scheduled across three continents in UK, US, Canada, Dubai and India, WKL will follow F1 format.

In the international arena, Li Ning Company has been a strategic partner of NBA, ATP and other top international event organizers and institutions offering its equipment and services to several athletes like Shaquille O'Neal, Ivan Ljubicic, Jose Calderon, Asafa Powell, Yelena Isinbayeva, Andreas Thorkildsen, Marin Cilic and Ivo Karlovicto, to name a few.

Li-Ning entered the Indian market through collaboration between Sunlight Sports, Singapore, and Indo Rubber and Plastic Works India in 2012. The brand was founded in 1990 by gymnast and six times Olympic medalist Li-Ning. Li-Ning also made a debut in the US market in 2012. It is China's largest sportswear maker.
