Liberty targets 20 percent revenue growth this fiscal

Liberty Shoes is targeting a revenue growth of about 20 percent this fiscal and reaching around Rs

600 crores on the back of aggressive retail and product expansion. Liberty is also expecting a turnover of Rs 50 crores from its ecommerce business. The footwear brand plans to launch 300-500 new styles in its footwear categories. The company is planning to open over 100 outlets via the franchise route in places like Bhavnagar, Rajouri, Sambha, Haldwani, Kanpur, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Maharajpur, Jhansi, Udaipur, Vijaywada, Kakinada, Vizag, Jabalpur, Bhopal and Indore.

The aim is to expand presence in areas having more than four lakh population strength. Liberty wants to establish itself offering a combination of fashion and comfort in its footwear range. With a turnover of Rs 500 crores, it is looking forward to sell over one crore pairs in the fiscal year 2013-14.

The brand has a worldwide distribution network of 150 distributors, over 500 showrooms and more than 6,000 multi-brand outlets. It has presence in over 25 countries, including major international fashion destinations like France, Italy and Germany. Coolers, Fortune, Tiptopp, Force 10, Senorita, Gliders, Footfun, Warriors, prefect and Windsor are the brand names that sell under Liberty.

After opening an exclusive store in Colombo the company plans to open 30 multi brand outlets displaying Liberty and DSI brands. It has partnered with D Samson and Sons, the marketing and distribution arm of DSI Samson Group as its strategic partner in Sri Lanka.
