Linen Club to invest Rs 250 cr on capacity expansion

Linen Club Fabrics, the premium brand form Jaya Shree

Textiles plans to invest Rs 250 crores in capacity expansion of its linen and yarn production over the next two years. Its current linen manufacturing capacity at Rishra in West Bengal has reached 10 million metres a year against 7 million metre last year and the company aims to take it up to 13 million metres a year. The plans also include doubling yarn capacity from the present 3, 000 tonne a year, in the next two years.

Linen Club contributes Rs 650 crores to Jaya Shree’s Rs 1,200 crores revenues. The company now wants to increase Linen Club's share to Rs 1,100 crores, while Jaya Shree’s revenues are expected to touch Rs 2,000 crores by March 2017.
