Mahindra Retail has put in her papers after serving with the company for over four years. She started her career with Littlewoods International as kidswear buyer in 1995. She stayed with the company when Littlewoods was bought by Tata -Trent and rebranded as Westside. After nine years with the company she left in 2004 and joined LMG Brands in 2005, and in 2008 she moved to Mahindra Retail, promoter of the Mom & Me chain of stores.

Mahindra Retail is an extension of the 7.1 billion dollars (over Rs 38, 000 crores) Mahindra Group’s trading foray in the domestic India market. The Group believes that this is the favorable time to extend its distribution business into direct retailing, when the organized retail market is expanding in India.

Mom & Me is the flagship of Mahindra Retail, which is currently expanding across most major cities and towns in India. It is already present in over 100 stores. The company, which has got Rs 300 crores from its parent company Mahindra Group till now, is looking at revenues of Rs 200 crores for this financial year.
