Lotto signs on Columbus

Lotto has appointed Columbus Marketing for manufacturing and wholesale distribution of its
sports shoes in India. The agreement is for the next 15 years. Before Columbus, Lotto had Sports Lifestyle as its partner for shoes. The licenses for other products like clothes are still with Sports Lifestyle. Columbus will not only manufacture Lotto shoes, but also supply to 25 big distributors across the country who have a collective reach of over 3,000 retail points. Columbus Marketing was established in 1978 and makes footwear at its nine manufacturing units.Lotto is an Italian sportswear maker. Its products are being sold through 50 exclusive outlets along with 150 shop-in-shops across India. In June 1973, Lotto made its debut among sports footwear manufacturers. Tennis shoes signaled the beginning of production followed by models for basketball, volleyball, athletics and football. Sports clothing took the stage afterwards. In the first 10 years, Lotto focused on the Italian market, becoming a reference brand in the sports articles segment. Today, the performance segment has been strengthened, in line with the new corporate mission. And special focus is given to footwear.
