As the Indian luxury market scales up many international brands are aiming to enter the market.

And wooing Indian men is Jimmy Choo which is venturing into men’s footwear. Nine years after exiting the men’s shoe business, the British accessory brand will re-enter the market with a collection of dress shoes, moccasins, casual biker boots, and sneakers. Likewise Ports 1961 is launching a men’s ready-to-wear collection.

Jimmy Choo has a loyal clientele - many of whom are A-list style icons like Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Michelle Obama. The brand will also launch its fragrance in New York shortly. Women around the world prize Jimmy Choo shoes for their classic design, fine craftsmanship and surprising comfort. The company launched in 1996 by London shoe designer Jimmy Choo and Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon has become a household name.

While energized by the international community, Ports takes a multi cultural approach to design it collections. Each collection represents a modern culture, associating high performance with luxury and comfort. Ports attention to detail and modern styling is transitioning the way women dress to accommodate a post modern lifestyle. This month the brand is going to launch its men’s collection at a Fashion Week, in Milan. Offering equal dressing opportunities to both genders, designer Fiona Cibani will be launching the menswear for Ports 1961. The line which will launch for Fall 2011 will make its debut comprising close to 51 runway looks, including suiting, outer wear, and a range of accessories such as leather satchels, gloves, and scarves. The globetrotting Indian man can now look forward to dressing up in style with these new launches.
