Mafatlal reports net profit of Rs 13.05 cr in Q2

Mafatlal Industries (MIL), the flagship company of Arvind

Mafatlal Group has reported total income of Rs 222.43 crores and net profit after tax at Rs 13.05 crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Earnings per share were at Rs 9.38. The results were approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting.

For the year 2012-13, MIL’s total income was Rs 840.38 crores, EBIDTA Rs 89.99 crores, cash profit of Rs 51.60 crores and net profit of Rs 37.16 crores. The company has declared a 30 percent dividend plus a 20 percent special Centenary dividend.

During the meeting, H A Mafatlal, Chairman of the company, said that following the amalgamation, capacity expansion across the denim and fabric divisions will strengthen the company’s sectoral position.

After consolidating its operations into Mafatlal Industries, the flagship company of the Arvind Mafatlal group, plans to expand its reach into more Tier II, III cities with a larger fabric portfolio. The company now has denim as a part of its fabrics portfolio apart from the usual yarn dyed suiting, voiles, linens and bleached white fabric.
