Major Brands India, the Indian partner of premium brands

such as Mango, Charles & Keith and Aldo is targeting the Happychic group affordable brands segment by inking a joint venture (JV) with France-based. The JV expects to cater to the mass segment of apparel retailing with a diversified offering.

Major Brands has been the partner in India for international brands such as Aldo Accessories, Inglot, Le Senza, Nine West, Queue Up and Promod. Happychic has three brands in its portfolio — Jules, Brice and Bizzbee. While Brice is a menswear brand in France, Poland and Belgium, Jules is targeted at youth, while Bizzbee is a teens’ brand.

Major Brands was set up in 2001 with the intention of finding ways to make fashion something more than just what people wear. Currently, the company has a network of over 90 stores spread across Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.
