Major Brands has opened exclusive brand outlets of nine

of its brands – Mango, Aldo, Promod, Charles & Keith, Aldo Accessories, La Senza, Nine West, Inglot and its in-house brand Queue Up-Footwear & Accessories – at Pacific Mall in Rajouri Garden, Delhi. With the opening of these stores, Major Brands has taken its tally of stores to 66 in India and plans to take its store count to 100 by mid-2011. The country head of Major Brands, Kamal Kotak feels Pacific Mall is one of the best malls in West Delhi. In fact, Major Brands was already present in this area with a shop-in-shop format for the last two years and their experience has been good. So they felt it was, thus, the right time for them to have standalone brand outlets.

Major Brands has a number of international lifestyle brands under its portfolio. The brands have a presence in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. From being a retailer of just one brand, Major Brands is now an anchor retailer occupying a retail space of over 60,000 sq. ft. in existing as well as upcoming malls. It was one of the first few retail organizations to focus on the retail of premier international brands through the exclusive brand outlets format in India. At a time where price points played a very important role in purchase decision, Major Brands took Indian retail head, breaking the price-point barrier with launch of the Spanish brand Mango in Mumbai. Further the brand aims to add international brands to give their customers a diverse brand experience. They are also venturing into mall development that will help the brand to provide the best retail space for partners and an international shopping environment to customers.
