Malini Ramani for Lakme finale

Delhi-based designer Malini Ramani will present the grand finale at the Delhi Lakme Fashion

Week winter/festive 2010. The fashion week begins on September 17 and the grand finale is on September 21. Ramani will showcase her gypsy collection, which is best suited for the winter palette. She will be displaying the colors and cuts inspired by the beaches of Goa and Bali. The collection is a fusion of influences from the length and breadth of the globe and inspired by her travels. By adding a dash of international sophistication the designer has also played around with the colors of Rajasthan.

Through the years, Lakme has constantly evolved to keep pace with the effervescent, ever-changing Indian woman. It has presented her an exciting and everlasting beauty experience, through its exclusive range of products. And, just like the brand, Ramani has created a collection suited for the modern Indian woman. It may be note that in 2005 Ramani had presented the grand finale with Suneet Verma in Mumbai.

Ramani has had a 10-year-old association with Lakme. The designer is still remembered for her first collaboration when she had created a beautiful mosaic theme for the Lakme Grand Finale. For winter/festive 2010, she is expected to showcase her distinct style of converging bohemian flamboyance with the theme.
