At 37th Annual General Meeting of The Southern India Mills` Association (SIMA)
Cotton Development & Research Association held recently, T Rajkumar, Chairman of Sri Mahasakthi Mills was unanimously elected as chairman of the association for the year 2012-13. He is also deputy chairman of SIMA and committee member in the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, New Delhi, a member in the Cotton Advisory Board and Cotton Yarn Advisory Board.C K Narayanasaami, Managing Director, Micrrocot Spinn India has been elected as deputy chairman of SIMA, he is a committee member in SIMA, alternate committee member in Confederation of Indian Textile Industry and member in Cotton Advisory Board. B Lakshminarayana, Managing Director of Van Tex has been elected as vice-chairman of the association.
SIMA CD & RA are registered non-profit organization, established in 1974 by the textile mills in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Pondicherry. Its main objective is to promote the development of cotton farming for enhancing cotton production, productivity, and fiber quality so that raw cotton may be made available at reasonable prices to textile mills.
