Manav Gangwani sets his eyes on Hollywood

Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai is all set to rock the Hollywood fashion scene with his designs. Though his plans are still under wraps, he has hinted at a big Hollywood project coming his way.

The designer recently styled British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who was in the country to celebrate her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin’s 50th birthday. She was spotted in an elegant lehenga-choli created by Gangwani for the big bash. A known name in the Indian fashion world, the designer ventured into the world of fashion during his college days and decided to enrol in the Pearl Academy of Fashion to further his talent. He began his career with Carma, a designer boutique in New Delhi, in 1999 and since then, has climbed the success ladder.

Not only film personalities, Gangwani's designs are worn by of well-known politicians like Priyanka Gandhi, Smita Thackeray and Amar Singh as well. Though the designer has been a part of almost all major fashion weeks in India and abroad, he has followed a rule of doing only one show a year.

Apart from designing clothes, he is busy changing the face of luxury in India. And the first step in that line was the opening of Roberto Cavalli’s maiden store in India.
