Mandhana sets up garment unit at Baramati Textile Park

Mandhana Industries makers and retailers of ‘Being Human’ merchandise is setting

up a garment unit at Hi Tech Textile Park, Baramati. The company already has five state-of-the art manufacturing facilities in MIDC Tarapur that undertake yarn dyeing, weaving, fabric processing and garmenting along with five garment units based in Bangalore.

Mandhana has registered a buoyant turnover growth of Rs 1,517.93 crores in 2013-14 against Rs 1,363.06 crores the year before. The textiles segment witnessed a growth of 9.12 per cent to touch Rs 1,221.95 crores, whereas the garments segment grew by 21.67 per cent, from Rs 243.26 crores to Rs 295.98 crores.

Net profit of Mandhana Industries increased 69.95 percent to Rs 16.06 crores in the quarter ended June 2014 as against Rs 9.45 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2013. Sales rose 9.62 percent to Rs 316.33 crores in the quarter against Rs 288.57 crores during the previous quarter ended June 2013.

Being Human label is endorsed by Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation. The Mandhana Group has retail tie-ups with chains like Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Splash, Jade Blue, All that Jazz, My Store and Wardrobe, among others as well as exclusive outlets, where it retails the Being Human merchandise. The brand has also tied up with Myntra.com.
