Renowned Indian designer Manish Arora recently unveiled his

collection of designs for Paco Rabanne, the design house that returns to the fashion scene after a hiatus of five years. After foraying in the Paris fashion circuit with his label Manish Arora he would display an exclusive range in the store soon. Arora who tookover as the style director for Paco Rabanne, has created eagle-feather collars, fluo stilettos and shiny silver body armour for the forthcoming spring season.

At Paco Rabanne, Arora’s job is to pump in novelty into the fashion house that was founded in the 1960s by the Spanish Basque, famous for his revolutionary use of new materials like plastic and aluminium. In 2000, the house, now owned by the Spanish group Puig tried to revive its business with a few designers but closed down operations in 2006 to focus on perfumes.

Arora has worked on the collections for Paco Rabanne imagining how Paco Rabanne should look like in 2012. He has added a lot of metal and shine to the collection. The comeback collection is also inspired from organic work of the Indian-born British sculptor Anish Kapoor.

Arora has gained a name in the fashion world and is the only Indian designer to be on the official fashion designers list in Paris. These days he spends half the month in the French capital and the rest globe-trotting between his New Delhi studio and the rest of the world.
