Manish, Gitanjali joins hands

Well-known designer Manish Arora has joined hands with Gitanjali Jewellers to showcase his

collection at their recently launched store in Mumbai. The venture, Manish Arora by Gitanjali Lifestyle, is the result of collaboration between the two. In fact, Arora has entered into many such tie-ups earlier. He has designed a range of garments for Walt Disney and does a signature collection for the make-up and cosmetics brand MAC. He is the first Indian designer to partner with a Reebok, a multinational sports brand as well. The new tie up will is a retail venture undertaken by the Gitanjali Group and marks the launch of the Manish Arora Store in Atria Mall, Mumbai. This 550 sq. ft. store, located on the ground floor of the mall promises to bring the magic of Manish Arora to Mumbai City. The store offers a choice between designer's latest as well as retrospective collections in his trademark prints and colors.

It may be recalled about five years back he teamed up with Reebok to design a collection of party wear shoes for women called Fish Fry. These have 12 designs made of stylish leather, suede and specialized fabric to match designer clothes for special occasion. The products have been named after Bollywood blockbusters like Sholay, Swades and Dil Chahta Hai. Monsoon Wedding is made with worn-out Taiwanese leather and embellished with Swarovski crystals. Arora’s label is available at 84 stores.
