Masaba Gupta and Amit Aggarwal to open LFW 2014

Designers Masaba Gupta and Amit Aggarwal together will kick-start the Winter/Festive 2014 edition of Lakme Fashion Week. Both would present their edgy collection

on August 19 at Palladium Hotel, a day prior to the fashion week scheduled from August 20-24, 2014. With fake mass market production of her exclusive and quirky designs flying of the shelves without her approval, Gupta has decided to create an affordable line of Indian wear for the fashion conscious women, who cannot spend exorbitant amount on designer wear. The forthcoming Winter/Festive edition is shifting to a new location from the Grand Hyatt hotel. The venue moves to Palladium Hotel in Lower Parel area of Mumbai. The five-day event will be held on the 8th and 9th floors of the hotel, which opened last year. A bi-annual affair held over a period of five days, Lakmé Fashion Week provides a platform for a mix of 100 established and upcoming designers to showcase their latest collections.
