After being applauded for her young and quirky designs

for the Satya Paul label, young designer Masaba Gupta is now planning to venture into the European market in the next six months. Owner and creator of eponymous label Masaba, the young designer, who is now also the creative head of Satya Paul. She recently presented her debut line for the brand at Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week.

Her trade mark Tamil print designs got much appreciation from the audiences at WIFW. And apart from trying to turn things around at Satya Paul so that it appeals to the younger generation, Gupta also plans to introduce cutlery, watches, shoes, bags under her own Masaba brand, launched in 2009.

With the backing of Louis Vuitton group’s private equity arm L Capital that owns 40 percent stake in Genesis, Satya Paul wants to focus on both digital marketing and retail expansion as.
