Max's Hariharan bags 'CEO of the Year' award

Ramanathan Hariharan, CEO of Max, the leading value fashion brand,

has bagged the coveted ‘Retail CEO of the Year’ award at the 2014 Arabian Business Indian CEO Awards. The awards ceremony took place at the Westin Hotel in Dubai and was held to celebrate the achievements of Indians throughout the Gulf. The award recognized Max's achievements in the retail sector in the ten years since its inception and its contribution to the GCC economy.

Witnessing rapid growth the company has opened over 250 stores across 16 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and India in the past 10 years with an annual turnover of 1.2 billion dollars (over 7,400 crores). The company has aggressive expansion plans of reaching three billion dollars (over Rs 18,600 crores) apart from taking the store count to 750 in the next five years.

The Max stores are now offering latest spring 2014 collection, which includes a huge variety of trendy ladies wear, men’s wear and kids’ wear. Known as Citymax in KSA, Max Fashions is part of Landmark Group, one of the largest retail conglomerates in the Middle East and India. It currently operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Nigeria, Libya and India.
