Megamart in Hyderabad

Megamart, a branded apparel manufacturer and retail chain, and part of Arvind Group,

has launched a fashion store in Chikkadpally area of Hyderabad. The store is spread over an area of 20,000 sq. ft. and offers over 100 Indian and international brands with its proposition of ‘mega savings and offers’ throughout the year. The store has been designed by JHP London. Some time back, Megamart added another brand Mossimo, America’s designer youth wear brand to its brand portfolio and has plans to bring Geoffrey Beene, another American designer formalwear brand.

The Arvind Group has recently decided to increase its revenue by focussing on apparel and fabric retailing in FY 13. In a bid to achieve its goal, the 80 year-old textile and apparel major is transforming its business model from a pure textile play (B2B) to a retail-led strategy (B2C) at a time when the Indian retail industry is growing faster than the textile segment.
