Men’s fashion week may happen in Mumbai

After FDCI’s three year contract with the title sponsor of the Men’s

Fashion Week event ended last year, there were no news about whether the fashion week will continue or not. Now there is a buzz that the event might appear in a different format and that too not in Delhi but in Mumbai.

Every year, the men’s fashion week took place in the month of September but this year, even after the Delhi Couture Week got over with much fanfare and announced the dates of its next season, there was no buzz about the men’s fashion event. Finally, FDCI President, Sunil Sethi has confirmed that the event will not be hosted in the same format as previous years and FDCI might end up hosting it in Mumbai this year since there are a couple of sponsors keen to do it as a weekend event there, either in November or later.

This year’s men’s fashion week, wherever it may happen would witness regulars like Rajesh Pratap Singh, Karan Johar-Varun Bahl, Ashish Soni, Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna, and Abraham and Thakore among others. Even designer Wendell Rodricks is expected to put his men’s designs on the ramp.
