Michael Kors enters India with Genesis Luxury

American luxury goods retailer Michael Kors that offers apparel

and accessories for men and women, is partnering New Delhi-based Genesis Luxury Fashion to open stores in the country. The brand is said to have entered into a franchising agreement with its India partner. Michael Kors has opened its first shop in New Delhi’s luxe mall DLF Emporio . New York Stock Exchange-listed Michael Kors Holdings retails accessories including handbags, footwear and small leather good, apart from apparel.

In the past, Genesis Luxury has brought to India iconic British label Paul Smith, Italian handcrafted leather bags and accessories by Bottega Veneta, red carpet favorite Jimmy Choo, the swanky Italian label Etro, the most respected fashionable luxurious brand from Milan, Armani, luxurious home and personal care products from Crabtree and Evelyn, Italian brand of high quality handbags and accessories of essential elegance Furla and leading international brand for luxury travel, business and lifestyle accessories Tumi. Genesis has also entered into a joint venture with UK’s Burberry to form Burberry India and the classic menswear Italian luxury label Canali to form Canali India.
