After showcasing his 80 percent Merino wool collection at the luxury

emporium Harvey Nichols in London and Colette in Paris, International Woolmark Award winner, Rahul Mishra is busy preparing his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Titled ‘The Ferryman’s Tale’, he would mark his debut at the Paris Fashion Week on the same day that Louis Vuitton, Hermès and Miu-Miu are showing their designs.

His range is also on offer, sharing shelf space with Valentino and Alexander McQueen in the London and Paris stores. Recently, all his clothes sold out on the luxury fashion portal, Mythersea.com, in just a few hours. His knee-length dresses, straight trousers and zip jackets in fabrics such as chanderi (a hand-woven light and luxurious fabric) with zardozi (gold wire) and resham (silk thread) embroidery exuded sophistication.

His designs for the Paris show will also follow a neutral colour palette, comprising yellow, white, ecru and black. He would blend wool with jersey and Indian textiles such as Maheshwari, chanderi and khadi for his ensembles that would be inspired by the Japanese graphic art form.
