With sevaral brands taking the online medium to take advantage of a rise in online shopping

among Indian consumers, now even traditional entrepreneur-driven companies such as Nalli Silk Sarees and Joyalukkas have logged on to the online medium eBay.

And, apart from these Indian ethnic wear retailers, other Indian companies are finding listing their products on eBay profitable. The signing up process is simple, eBay charges minimal listing fees, preferring to instead take a commission on each sale.

The platform has been witnessing about 100 percent year-on-year growth in terms of the number of sellers that are listing on the site. While many e-commerce sites in India are struggling to break-even despite studies betting big on industry’s prospects in the country. There is great demand for ethnic wear, vintage bike parts and riding gears abroad, which is why many India companies such as Nalli and companies from Tamil Nadu are tying up with the website.
