Namrata Joshipura to bring the curtains down at WIFW

Fashion designer Namrata Joshipura is the grand finale designer

for the forthcoming edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Autumn/Winter 2014 starting March 26 in New Delhi. She will present a contemporary, chic and glamorous range during the fashion gala.

According to a FDCI release, the designer will create an exclusive collection which will be retailed from the Wills Lifestyle stores across the country. WIFW, a bi-annual event organised by the FDCI has grown both in popularity and participation over the years. The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is also seen as a springboard for upcoming designers, who get an opportunity to showcase their designs to a discerning audience.

During the last season of WIFW, Joshipura presented her designs based on the theme ‘Wings of Desire’, inspired by a film released in 1987 by the same name. The intention was to move away from reality and explore the world of dreams. Models walked in dressed as angels. Some of them even had a dagger strapped to their belts thus representing fearless women of modern times.
