Supermodel Naomi Campbell, President of the
charity Fashion for Relief, launched a specially designed bag in India in collaboration with Koovs.com, to help raise money for the NGO Udayan Care. Fashion for Relief was established in 2005 and with the support of businesses and fashion personalities. It now raises money for various charity projects through fashion shows, auctions and donations.New Delhi-based Koovs.com is an online fashion retailer promoted by Anant Nahata. It aims to be the biggest online fashion retailer in the country by 2020. The reusable bag by Campbell will have a selling value of Rs 350 but will be given away free with each order of the new Koovs private label product, beginning next February. The online fashion retailer intends to donate a part of the proceeds from each garment sold from its private label collection to Udayan Care. The initiative is jointly spearheaded by Lord Waheed Alli, who is taking his success with ASOS to India with Koovs as chairman of the company. Campbell said she was happy that Lord Alli has joined her in the venture as his expertise and guidance at the marketing and retail level will help them.
