New designer brand for kids

India’s leading fashion designers have come together to launch a high-end clothes brand

exclusively for children. The brand named Kidology is aimed at children between 0-7 years and pregnant women. It will have multi designer outfits from top fashion designers like Ritu Kumar, Malini Ramani, Gauri and Nainika, Gaurav Gupta and Namrata Joshipura. The line will have a mix of western, Indian and fusion clothes and will be priced between Rs 1,500 to Rs 8,000. The brand will also have a line especially for expecting mothers. The maternity wear can be worn post-pregnancy as well.
Kidology styles have unique contemporary designs, high quality and eco-friendly fabrics and exquisite tailoring. According to the brand’s in-house German designer Maya Nocon the concept of high-end garments for children is something new in India. And for her sizing was a problem since sizes in India differ from that of Europe.
The first Kidology store was opened recently in New Delhi’s new mall DLF Promenade. Besides clothes it also offers a collection of accessories such as handbags and head bands. In collaboration with Vadehra Furnishers, Kidology is expected to offer designer furniture just for kids and pregnant women. The brand’s next store will come up in Mumbai.
