NTC unveils its flagship 'Brand India'

The National Textile Corporation (NTC) launched its flagship store, Brand India, on at Craft Museum,
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. A press meet was organised to announce the commencement of Brand India Stores, Indian Republic Stores and StreeVijay, Setu and RAASA, and the search for the most talented designers across the nation. In order to ensure the best designs, NTC has roped in ace designer Raghavendra Rathore who has helped NTC choose India’s best designers in various categories to design exclusively for Brand India.Brand India stores would primarily fulfil all the retail needs of consumers for home and lifestyle products ranging from home furnishings to home furniture to ethnic garments and lifestyle home products. These stores will have apparels, accessories, home décor and furnishings, furniture and antiques and Indian crafts, handicrafts and heritage products.
Setu, a handloom procurement initiative will introduce products sourced from various clusters in India to promote local weavers. Further, NTC will expand its product portfolio and also uplift weavers. Another initiative ‘Indian Republic’ stores will offer merchandise at affordable prices. The stores will bridge the gap between the branded apparel sector and the unorganized market.
Plans are afoot to expand its store network across the nation in the next few months. The stores will be renovated as per current market trends making them comparable to any branded apparel store with similar ambience. Raasa is a Home and Bath Linen brand of NTC which is being launched with latest designs and trends. The initial designs have been inspired by Nav-Ras. NTC will sell its textile products like bed linen and bath linen under Raasa, followed by handloom and handicrafts range.
‘Stree Vijay’ is an initiative to empower women and support women entrepreneurs in the country. It is a direct selling scheme aimed primarily at women empowerment and up-liftment of women making them self-dependent.
