For the first time ever, an Indian has been chosen as the

brand ambassador of a Pakistan-based designer label. A designer-duo from Pakistan after their long model hunt to represent their brand, selected Marathi actor Abhyangh Kuvalekar for the purpose. Before finalizing Kuvalekar, the Pakistani-duo had auditioned several models from the Middle East, Pakistan and India. However, they came in contact with the Kuvalekar through a coordinator putting an end to their search. The duo say they were impressed by Kuvalekar Middle Eastern looks, attractive eyes and a face having elegance and class which were exactly what they were looking for. Kuvalekar who has acted in films like Sanai Choughade, Tya Ratri Paus Hota and Saatchya Aat Gharat says his non-Maharashtrian looks seem to have worked in his favour.

Hesham, one of the designers of the label said that they are delighted to have an Indian as their brand’s ambassador. He believes that it’s high time for the two countries which are rich in their tradition and culture to come together and in some way, this will take the association ahead. They are planning to give Kuvalekar a truly international look. Blazers, casual jackets, sherwanis and kurtas, are the designers forte. The shoot has been planned in Dubai owing to the visa difficulties. Kuvalekar will pose with the picturesque deserts as a backdrop.
