Pankaj-Nidhi tunics steal Kuwait show

Designer duo Pankaj and Nidhi Ahuja and Vivek Narang are

showcasing their designs at Kuwait. The designer’s exhibition is being organized by Munna Bhasin and Kiki at Bayt Lothan, Salmiya. Pankaj and Nidhi Ahuja are NIFT graduates. Their designs are completely done by hand. Their smart and funky tunics exhibited at the Kuwait show are mainly aimed for the Europe and Middle East countries. Nidhi has designed long kaftans for Kuwaiti women. Her kurta pajamas have a western touch.

Pankaj and Nidhi Ahuja launched their label in May 2006. Pankaj is well known in the fashion industry, having worked for almost a decade as head of design with Rohit Bal. Nidhi has worked with Rohit Bal and Creative Impex, a company well-known for its design environment where she designed collections for brands like Kenzo, Max-Mara, Armani, and Roberto Cavalli. Their aesthetically designed outfits, with an Indian soul, have found instant success among buyers in India and abroad.

Vivek Narang’s clothes are simple and are modified to suit the international market. He uses natural fibers and old-fashioned stitching techniques. He is known for the use of traditional embroideries from India. His designs are ethnic but silhouettes are western.
