Paragon spruces-up women's footwear range to boost sales

After unveiling a Solea range for women, footwear manufacturer, Paragon is planning

to increase its offerings in the segment as it expects the category to boost sales. The brand is present across 100,000 retail points across India.

The women’s segment contributes 35 percent to the total annual revenue of Rs 1,375 crores. The aim is to double the contribution from this segment this fiscal through its major markets -- Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. With its recent entry in sports footwear coupled with the new women’s footwear line, the company now plans to launch more lines in both categories in the next two to three years.

Paragon incepted in 1975 stated with a production capacity of 1,500 pairs per day. Today, Paragon's total in-house production capacity is 400,000 pairs a day. Apart from in-house production, the footwear company has also outsourced production in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kottayam, Kolkata and other places with total sales approx of 12,00,00,000 pairs each year.
