Falguni and Shane Peacock strutted off their glamorous collection of bridal wear at the Amby Valley

Indian Bridal Week 2010. Dramatic and creative, the collection reinforced this couple’s ability to stun the fashion scene, season after season. When it comes to opulent bridal trousseaux, Falguni and Shane Peacock have perfected the art and have offered myriad permutations and combinations in their Victorian inspired collection Peacock Bride collection.

Bold prints formed a mélange of colors and when sprinkled with crystals and feathers, the pair’s signature style, created a dramatic statement on the runway. The designers, however, did not stray from the traditional nuances but added them skillfully to the garments in the form of embellishments. Falguni and Shane showcased a stunning bridal wear assortment of flared lehengas, saris, sexy cholis and evening gowns, which will fit into the wedding festivities like mehendi, sangeet or the final wedding ceremony. Selecting the finest net, chiffon, satin and lush velvets in antique crystal and gold sheeting, the designers offered a perfect fusion of ethnic embroidery with western silhouettes. Floral motifs were sprinkled on peach saris with embroidered borders and worn with tasseled shoulder corsets; while a pink bustier had an encrusted crystal belt. The tiered frilled net gowns appeared often with fitted glittering corsets.
