Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) is giving a platform

to Pakistani designers who will be showcasing their collection at the India Bridal Week 2013 starting on July 24. The designers will be showing their exclusive bridal collection from some of the best designers of Pakistan like Fahad Hussayn, Sania Maskatiya, Elan by Khadijah Shah, HSY and Sana Safinaz.

They will display their contemporary couture line for this wedding season. This event will also act as a prelude to PFDC’s prêt and couture collection. In order to expand dynamics of fashion, they have set up their own exhibition space this time.

PFDC is now expanding into the Indian market with its own brand name and standalone multi-label retail store representing Pakistani designers franchised by Rubaaiyat by Mini Bindra of BV’s (Bindra Ventures). PFDC launched its very first flagship store, PFDC — The Boulevard, in India in collaboration with New Delhi’s Bindra family.

PFDC was established in 2006 and endeavours to accord a corporate status to the fashion business. Today, the PFDC includes over 66 members from across the country. The Council also offers two annual scholarships to aspiring students.
