Prapti opens at Hyderabad

Kolkata-based Indian wear chain Prapti Fashions has opened a men’s wear store

at Hyderabad. Spread over 1,400 square foot the outlet stocks men’s kurtas, sherwanis, and Indo-westerns. With this store, Prapti now has 34 outlets in the country.

Prapti, a unisex ethnic brand has over the years made a national imprint scaling out of regional boundaries. The brand is pursuing a fast organic growth for reaching out to customers on a pan-India basis. Going forward, Prapti Fashions plans to open outlets in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Noida, Jamshedpur and Baroda. The store in Mumbai is spread over 6,000 square foot and stocks items such as kurtis, saris, lehengas and salwar-suits for women and kurtas and sherwanis for men.

Prapti was launched in 1985. The group’s primary business is in apparels, but its other revenue stream is from retail and distribution of mobile phones, electronics and consumer durables. It also has an exclusive store for contemporary women’s wear under the name of Arrest.
