Prashant Malik takes over as LimeRoad’s CTO

Limeroad.com, a social shopping platform for women,

has brought on board Prashant Malik, a senior technologist, as Co-Founder and CTO. Malik, one of the early employees at Facebook and co-creator of Apache Cassandra, which is now used by several leading companies across the globe, is returning to India from Silicon Valley after spending 14 years in the Bay area. Recently awarded with the GoldStar award for demonstrating extraordinary leadership and technical excellence at Facebook, Malik spent the last five years with Facebook, prior to which he was at Microsoft. Prashant is an IIT Delhi Computer Sciences alumnus.

Mukherjee herself comes with rich experience at ebay, Skype and Gum Tree. Other co-founders include, Manish Saksena, a lifestyle specialist with 18 years of retail and design experience, ex-COO Tommy Hilfiger India and Ankush Mehra, co-Founder & VP Supply Chain Operations, with 18 years of experience in supply chain, ex-Head of Supply Chain Reliance Hypermarkets.
