Promart launched in Jodhpur

Promart retail, the discounted retail chain and value format concept opened a franchise store

in Jodhpur. Spread over an area of 2,000 sq. ft. the Promart store offers popular brands like Levi’s, Pepe, Wrangler, Lee, Spykar, Disney, Stori and many more under one roof.

The company already has stores in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Vapi, Aurangabad and Mumbai along with franchise outlets in Maharashtra, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Speaking on this occasion, Ashish Garg, Managing Director, Promart Retail said, “We are pleased to announce our intent of establishing footprint with the launch of this store in Jodhpur. This is an attractive market for us and after successfully opening company owned stores in various pockets of India, we think franchising is a great model to attain a faster turnaround with will enable us to achieve a better ROI in the long run.”

He added, “We plan to launch 100 more outlets in the next year which we have identified as potential retail markets via the franchising route which makes a good business proposition for us. We are looking to clock in a turnover of Rs 200 crores as a part of this model.”

The company had recently inked a strategic tie-up with e-commerce company, Snapdeal.com. Launched by Provogue India, the chain was taken over by Apple Group and VEMB Lifestyle in 2011. As a part of the takeover, Apple Group and VEMB got control of the brand’s assets and intellectual property. While other chains offer discounts of 10-40 per cent, Promart offers 20-60 per cent. The company is also planning to rope in Bollywood personality to promote the chain.
