Rajesh Pratap Singh’s debut Shingora range launched

Fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh has unveiled his first collection for luxury

textile brand Shingora. He presented a capsule collection of 35 designs in scarves and stoles using luxurious fibres like premium wool and merino cashmere.

Making use of basic jamavar, he twisted jamavar motifs to present them in a modern day sensibilities to attract the young. The designs are dominated with heads, patchwork, jungle and birds. Singh is now working on a summer and festive collection soon.

Currently based in New Delhi, Rajesh Pratap Singh belongs to the vibrant and colourful state of Rajasthan. After graduating from NIFT Delhi, he worked in the fashion industry for two years before introducing his own line of men and women's clothing in 1997. He has been closely associated with Indian fabric mills and has had developmental and research based collaborations with several of them. Internationally, he has been showcasing his collections at the Paris Fashion Week. He was the first Indian designer to be invited by Vogue Italy to do a show at the Milano Unica in Milan City in 2011.
