Designer Raghavendra Rathore popularly known for

his made-to-measure bandhgalas and achkans, has brought his signature style to the world of denim by launching a new label, Club J. Club J’s emphasis on classic styling and amazing European cuts, crests, logos, family totems and the overall essence of lineage gives it an altogether different look. Apart from clothing, the brand also offers other accessories.

Rathore says that he is looking to design for smaller towns, because that’s where the aspiration is being built and that the brand has already received awesome response from Kolkata. Adding further he said, the team has released dark coloured denim in Delhi, whereas in Ranchi, the fabric is almost indigo. The team makes changes after going through the feedback. Recently, Rathore instructed the design team to reduce the detailing on the buttons.

The Club J line is available in the price range Rs 3,000 to Rs 8,000, and will soon feature a complete accessories section. Also, during the wedding season this year, Rathore plans to launch Club Jodhpur, an ethnic wear collection. In the coming days, Rathore will be releasing affordable achkans and wedding trousseau, priced between Rs 15,000 to Rs 35,000. But the designs will be created by the same team that works on the luxury label. Club J has its presence in major cities in Northeast such as Guwhati, Shillong, Kohima, Imphal, and Agartala.

Trained in Manhattan, before launching his own label in 1994, Rathore worked at DKNY and Oscar de la Renta.
