Reliance Jewels has launched its 17th jewelry store in Thane,

near Mumbai. The retailer is owned by Reliance Retail Limited (RRL), one of India’s largest conglomerates.

As the Indian diamond jewelry retail section is experiencing fast growth, major players are going all out to grab a bigger share in the lucrative market. In a bid to promote the new store, Reliance Jewels is offering up to 50 per cent off on gold jewelry and deep discounts on diamond jewelry as an inaugural offer.

After a successful presence in cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi Reliance Jewels is now spreading out in other cities as well. In Mumbai they have a presence in Ghatkopar and Hughes Road. Recently, Reliance Jewels opened their second store in Ahmedabad. Their rival conglomerate Tata owns the competing Tanishq chain of stores which is India’s largest jewelry brand, with more than 100 stores across the country.
