Retail Source India, a domestic garment fair had a grand launch ceremony at Le Meridian

New Delhi on 26 April, 2014. The event was launched in the presence of Lalit Gulati, President AEMA, Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI, leading exporters and industry experts like Lalit Thukral, Hari Kapoor and with representation from brands like Ashwini Anand from Shapes, and Rajesh Sachdeva from Upper Class. Organized by the Apparel Exporters & Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Retail Source India is a three-day mega event that will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from July 19 to 21, 2014. It will bring together an array of manufacturers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, brands, fashion designers under one roof.

Nearly 155 exhibitors from Delhi, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Tirupur, Jaipur, Surat, Ahmadabad, Amritsar and Chandigarh and over 20,000 visitors are expected. Exhibitors like makers of women’s lingerie and and men’s innerwear, sportswear, babies and children’s wear, evening wear, swimwear, festive and bridal wear, ethnic wear, handbags, fabrics, buttons, labels, inspection, testing and certification services and fashion magazines will be present during the event. The aim is to make the supply chain more organized and bridge the gap between buyers and sellers.

Fashion shows, coffee shows, product promotions highlighting current fashion trends are some of the activities lined up during the three day event. Being the only domestic show for garment and accessories manufacturers in North India, Retail Source India is being looked upon as a platform for the entire sourcing chain.

In addition large retailers like Reliance Retail, Pantaloons, Madura Garments (Louis Phillippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, People, Planet Fashion & The Collective), Big Bazaar and the likes of Walmart and Blackberry are expected to visit. Top online retailers like Snapdeal, Flipkart, Jabong and Myntra are also expected to make their presence felt.
