Heusen India Men’s Week to be held from August 27 to 29 at The Grand, New Delhi. He will be displaying his spring/summer 2011 line as a part of the final show. His collection will be a contemporary formal range. He believes menswear has come a long way in India and the fact that it is finally getting its due recognition with its own industry platform.

As Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI, opines, “Rohit is one of the most celebrated designers of India. His designs are intelligent and imaginative. Rohit’s innate talent combined with his commitment to revive Indian textile is visible in his clothing line.” Shital Mehta, COO, Van Heusen, adds “Rohit Bal is synonymous with fashion and has upped the standards of fashion to a much higher level. We are looking forward to his collection which is a unique blend of fashion and creativity presented with his signature style.” Delhi-based Bal has made a mark with his designs. He started his career with brother Rajeev Bal in New Delhi in 1986 and started his independent collection in 1990. Today, his masterpieces are sold at $15,000 and above.

Van Heusen is India’s No. 1 premium lifestyle brand with a rich heritage of 128 years. The brand entered India in 1990 and has had the unique distinction of establishing not only the brand, but also the ready-to-wear category.
