Samant Chauhan to launch flagship in Patna

Designer Samant Chauhan, who hails from a village

near Bhagalpur in Bihar, is opening his first flagship store in Patna seeing tremendous growth and demand in fashion and lifestyle in Tier-II, Tier-III cities. Apart from opening a store in Patna in the first week of February, the designer is looking to another store in the capital (New Delhi). His label, Samant Chauhan, is stocked in multi-designer stores across India and abroad.

Chauhan is also known for his luxury prêt collection, using traditional Bhagalpuri handwoven silk, which has reached out to the global market. A NIFT alumni, Chauhan won four major awards at his graduating show. He also made a mark with his first show at the Singapore Fashion week with a collection for men and followed it with another collection named ‘Kamasutra’ at India fashion week. Here he got the media and buyers interested in his textiles and was invited to participate in the London Fashion weeks, of which he has been a part ever since.
