Sasya launched in Kolkata

Featuring the works of India’s top designers such as Tarun Tahiliani, JJ Valaya, Rohit Gandhi

& Rahul Khanna (Cue/H20), Shantanu and Nikhil, Gaurav Gupta, among others, Sasya, the multi-designer store opened its doors in Kolkata. The store offers exclusive products ranging from bridals to smart casuals. The newly launched designer destination aims at catering to the need of all occasions for every age groups both men and women.

The store is divided into various sections letting customers experience the diverse range on display. Prêt line, cocktail dresses and tunics are displayed on the ground floor with an exclusive section for women on the first floor. Sasya promises to please its customer with the variety that also includes accessories comprising of semi-precious jewellery and a diverse collection of bags that accompany collections across all floors. The dedicated section for saris is on the second floor while the third floor is meant exclusively for men. What sets Sasya apart is a complete floor dedicated to men’s bespoke tailoring that houses international brands like Zegna, Cerruti, Scabal, Dormeul, Loropiana, and Valentino.

The store’s name is inspired from ‘essence’ or ‘fruit’ (pomegranate). It also connects to the cultural richness of the country showcasing a rare collection of garments handpicked from different parts of the country consisting of weaves, embroidery and heavy embellished ensembles. Sasya is owned and managed by the house of Simaaya. Incepted in 2005, it’s a brainchild of Rachit and Mayank Agarwal, who have revolutionized luxury fashion retailing in Kolkata.
