Keeping youth’s taste in mind, designer Aniket
Satam has launched his latest collection ‘Popsicle Paradiso’, exclusively made with Indian fabrics like cotton silk, raw silk, tussar and matka silk to attract their attention. The designer says, the collection is inspired by the retro innocence of the mid-60s. The styles vary from sheath, shift dresses, shirt dresses, tunics along with slouchy bomber jackets, hot pants and drape tops.
Satam has used a bright palette of colours like pink, orange and yellow with classic monochrome and retro prints in technicolour. Also, surface detailing like neon zippers and printed mul have been used majorly in the designs. The line is an affordable line targeting teenagers and yuppies (young urban professionals) looking for a crispy weekend wardrobe.
The five-piece collection is inspired by Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. It is a capsule collection of five pieces derived from his debut Kala Ghoda Arts Festival collection, which was personally hand-painted by ace artist-calligraphist Achyut Pallav. The range comprises of overcoats and dresses in bright colours.
