Shoppers Stop has opened a new store at World Trade

Park, Jaipur. The existing Shoppers Stop store at Malavia Nagar, Jaipur is proposed to be operated as another retail format in due course of time. With the new inclusion, the number of Shoppers Stop stores (including two airport stores) under its operations has reached to 55.

Shoppers Stop received two awards at the recent ET Retail Awards as the received the 'Most Trusted Retailer of the Year - Popular choice' and Crossword Bookstores, the wholly owned subsidiary of the company bagged the 'Award for Marketing Excellence'. The 6th Loyalty Summit conferred the company with 'Loyalty Programme of the Year - Retail large Format'. This is the 4th consecutive year that Shopper Stop is winning this award.

The company reported a 11.4 percent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 17.09 crores for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012. The company had posted standalone net profit of Rs 19.29 crores in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Its gross retail turnover grew 20 percent at Rs 685.3 crores for the quarter against Rs 569.8 crores year-ago.
