Mumbai-based Shopsense has got seed funding led by

Kae Capital, a group of angels investors under Powai Lake Ventures, and angel investor Jehaan Mehta. The invested funds would be utilised to develop smart technology for retailers. The funding will also help the company set up an efficient development team.

Founded by a group of IIT Bombay graduates, Farooq Adam, Harsh Shah and Sreeraman MG, Shopsense is a tech venture who builds products to bridge the gap between technology and retail. It provides the touch and feel experience of physical shopping combined with the ease of digital shopping. Earlier this year Shopsense conducted a pilot for its technology at the Diesel store in Mumbai and more recently developed user experience and interface for Big Bazaar Direct.

It uses the latest in digital interaction technology that makes shopping fun and enjoyable. It works at the intersection of technology and retail to develop and deploy ways to engage consumers which helps retailers better understand their shoppers.

This article has been modified on 7 October because of a error about the Shopsense operations.
