SIMA conference to focus on biz in the post-crisis scenario

Though the debt restructuring package of Rs 35,000 crores
announced by the Finance Ministry, would help textile mills to a greater extent, survival post crisis is a major challenge before them. Taking this into account and to guide textile entrepreneurs, the Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA)’s 53rd Annual General Meeting, is organising its fifth CEOs Conference on September 17, 2012 in Coimbatore. The theme is: Doing Business in the Post Crisis Scenario – Fast, Flat and Free.Commenting on the conference, S Dinakaran, Chairman, SIMA said the association had previously organised four CEO Conferences on different themes. At the ensuing CEOs conference, there will be presentations by captains of the industry on various subjects. V Narayanasamy, Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, will be the chief guest at the conference. He will also give away SIMA’s Techno Facts Awards to selected member mills.
The session will touch on varied topics like: finance, value addition and diversification et all. There will be a panel discussion on the current textile scenario and the role of young directors. Top names from the industry are lined up speakers. They include T R Prashanth Kumar, MD and CEO of BOB Capital Markets, Dilip Jiwrajka, Managing Director, Alok Industries, H S Bhaskar, Executive Director and CEO, Gokak Textiles and T Ramalingam, CEO, Shahi Exports among others.
