Six Indian designers are participating in the Tranoi fair, to showcase their spring/summer 2011

collections. Namrata Joshipura, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna and Sanchita Ajjampur are in the avant-garde section. Rajesh Pratap Singh, Ranna Gill and Tarun Tahiliani are in luxury and high-end.

Every season, Tranoi runs concurrent to the Paris Fashion Week. It’s famed for its world-class organization and exposure to global buyers. Many Indian designers who are regulars both at the menswear and women’s wear tradeshows consider it a window to the West. Tranoi was started by Armand Hadida and is now being managed by his son Michael Hadida.

Tranoi magazine presents the coming season’s collections in exclusivity, before they are shown at the fashion week. It also features current collections, which are already available in stores and on the internet, through fashion shoots. The magazine is usually published a few days before each of the four Parisian fashion weeks (spring/summer and autumn/winter for men and women).

Tranoi has also launched a website featuring women’s fall/winter 2010 collections, with over 80 designers participating. It is the only designers’ platform dedicated to both professionals and to the public. Each designer’s space on the e-store is a tool to help buyers’ searches. It provides all the necessary information, biography, stockists list, pictures etc. The innovation lies on a platform bringing together fashion forward designers and stores to one destination, accessible to everyone.
