SNG renames FI as Fida

SNG Fashions which launched FI (Fashion & I), a premium women’s garment brand in

2004, recently renamed this ethnic wear brand as Fida. The brand now has aggressive expansion plans all over the country over the next few years. The first outlet of this high profile brand with the new identity came up at Malhaar Mall in Indore. The 1,500 sq. ft. outlet is FI-Fashion’s second outlet in Indore.

By changing the name, they are simply focusing more on their category of clothing, which is ethnic women’s wear says Sharad Nawalgaria, MD, Fida. They plan to have 100 stores in the next three years across the country and bring latest fashion to customers directly. Fida wants to remain the most promising name in fashion with an unmistakable leadership position in the segment. By the end of this fiscal, they are looking at 35 stores all over India.

SNG Fashions has been operational since 1996, and the upmarket FI brand was started in 2004 in Kolkata. Ranging from rural mystique of handloom to laser perforated powerlooms, FI has worked with a variety of fabrics. Noted for its authentic hand embellishments that represent a true cross-cultural blend, FI has established itself as a premier women’s wear brand. Fabrics ranging from imported pure georgettes, chiffons, voiles, cozy cottons to hand finished prints, block and screen variants, printed viscose georgette, printed chiffon, lace, crochet are extensively used in the collection.


With a primary focus on showcasing high profile apparel brands, SNG Fashion recently opened a 5,000 sq. ft. store of Albeli, another women’s wear brand in New Delhi. It stocks a wide range of unstitched and stitched kurtis and saris. This brand also has an outlet in Kolkata
