The, Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) of India is organising

‘Source India 2010’ in Mumbai between January 28-29, 2010. This high-profile B2B event under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles will showcase the latest range of textile products from India and is aimed at attracting buyers, from West Asia and Africa. Around 100 players from the Indian industry are expected to display a wide range of products and around 150 international buyers from over 18 countries are expected to visit the event. Raymond, Reliance, Grasim Industries, Vardhaman Textiles are some of the big Indian names at the event.
“It is a unique effort towards highly focussed and sharply targeted export promotion. We only want serious buyers and sellers. Through Source India 2010, we will connect the Indian man-made textile manufacturers and exporters with leading international buyers and Indian brands and retailers. It will help raise trade volumes between India and the prime markets for these products, from the current level of Rs 15,767 crore (US$ 3426.43 million),” says Ganesh Kumar Gupta, Chairman, SRTEPC.
The two-day meet event will also host three fashion shows by choreographer Marc Robinson. It will showcase collections from 30 prominent fashion designers. The product range includes basics and fancy yarns, embellishments, fashion accessories like stoles, scarves and shawls, apparel fabrics and dress materials.
