With changing times fashion designers are working towards creating a sustainable environment.

The designers and artists are putting their heads together and striving to make their creative works sustainable for future use. For this reason a three-day long conference was organised in Bangalore by Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Sustainability titled: ‘Design: NOW! Challenges and Opportunities for Design Research, Education and Practice in the XXI Century’. The conference, which saw top-notch designers from across the globe participate, is a part of the LeNS — the Learning Network on Sustainability, an international collaboration between seven top design colleges from across the world.

The conference was a platform for sharing the latest knowledge in the spheres of design, product, and service. Thereby, promoting sustainable thinking in the sphere of design, education and research. Basically the conference was aimed to look at various stakeholders, including, designers, design educators and design researchers, as a unique learning community. The exhibition showcased works of students from various parts of the world.

Srishti offers undergraduate professional diploma programs to students who have successfully completed the Srishti Foundation Studies Program and also welcomes direct entries to students who have completed the equivalent of Srishti’s Foundation Studies Program elsewhere, or are graduates from other art and design schools, or have professional work experience and with an interest in art and design education.
